Mother's Day in the Mountains

We decided to be a bit different this year and celebrate Mother's Day with a picnic in the mountains. The weather lately has been so warm (verging on way too hot), and we wanted to take advantage of it. My mom and Garrett went up after our first church service to stake us out a spot. We had a great time, except that the wind kept blowing all our stuff around and kept blowing out the flame on our grill. So, the burgers took a little longer than usual to cook, but in the end everything tasted great! The kids had a great time exploring, despite being covered from head to toe with a rash left over from the fifth disease outbreak they were part of. There's nothing like dirt, rocks, and sticks to keep little kids entertained! We hope all the mothers out there (and moms-to-be!) had a great day!
